Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Resalad, a job application tracker and resume builder operated by ModWeb (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Resalad lets you maintain a professional profile and content corpus, track job applications through a status timeline, and generate application-targeted resumes and cover letters using AI-assisted document generation. Optional integrations let you connect a GitHub account to summarize repositories you select. The service is under active development; features may change, be added, or be removed.
Your account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You may sign in with an email and password or, where offered, through a third-party login provider such as Google or GitHub. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the service.
Your content
You own the content you bring to Resalad — your profile, work history, uploaded documents, written corpus entries, answers to questions, pasted job descriptions, and any repository content you choose to connect. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the service for you, including sending relevant portions to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy (for example, our AI provider during document generation). You are responsible for having the necessary rights to the content you upload or connect, including any repositories you link.
Generated documents
Resumes, cover letters, summaries, and suggestions produced by the service are AI-generated drafts. The generator is designed to stay grounded in the material you provide, but we do not guarantee that generated output is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular application. You are responsible for reviewing every document before you send it to an employer, and for the truthfulness of anything you submit in a job application. Generated documents are yours to use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not: use it for unlawful purposes or to misrepresent your identity or qualifications as another person’s; upload content you have no right to use; attempt to access other users’ data; interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service or circumvent its rate limits and security measures; or use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract the service beyond its intended use.
Third-party integrations
Connecting GitHub or signing in with a third-party provider is optional and subject to that provider’s own terms. You can revoke Resalad’s GitHub access at any time from within the app, which deletes the stored access token. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and may request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used to abuse the service. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) survive it.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated documents will lead to any employment outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
