Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account information. Your email address and a password credential, or basic profile details from Google or GitHub if you sign in with one of those providers.

Profile and career content. The material you enter to power generation: your name and contact details, work history, projects, education, skills, interests, style preferences, long-form content corpus entries, and answers you give to clarifying questions.

Uploaded files. Documents you upload, such as existing resumes and project documentation, along with text extracted from them.

Application data. Job descriptions you paste, application details, notes, the status history of each application, and the resumes and cover letters generated or uploaded for them.

GitHub data (optional). If you connect GitHub, we store an access token scoped to the permission you grant and fetch content from repositories you explicitly link in order to draft project summaries. Nothing enters your profile from a repository until you review and confirm it.

How we use your data

We use your data to operate the service: generating resumes, cover letters, gap analyses, enrichment questions, and skill suggestions from your material; tracking your applications; and keeping a frozen copy of the documents you actually submitted. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

AI processing

Document generation is powered by large language models accessed through Anthropic’s API. When you run a generation, the relevant inputs — your profile, corpus entries, answers, the job description, and confirmed repository summaries — are sent to that API and the structured result is validated before anything is stored or rendered. Your name, contact details, and links in generated documents are always taken directly from your profile, never from model output.

Service providers

Your data is processed by the infrastructure providers that run the service: a database host, a private object-storage provider for files and generated PDFs, Anthropic for AI generation, and GitHub when you connect it. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service; we do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to secure authentication flows. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. GitHub access tokens are encrypted at rest. Uploaded files and generated documents live in private storage and are served only through routes that verify the file belongs to you — nothing is publicly accessible. All access to your data is scoped to your account on every request.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active so the service can work. You can edit or remove profile content, corpus entries, and uploads at any time. Deleting an application permanently removes its status history, questions and answers, and its generated and uploaded documents. Revoking the GitHub connection deletes the stored access token. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the address below.

Your choices

Everything the generator knows about you is material you entered, uploaded, or confirmed — you can review and change it in the app. GitHub connection is opt-in, scoped to the permission you choose, and revocable. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data; contact us to exercise them.

Children

Resalad is not directed to children and is intended for people old enough to seek employment. Do not use the service if you are under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, announced in the app. See also our Terms of Service.
